At St. Paul's CE Primary School we believe that regular school attendance is essential if children are to achieve their full potential. We also believe that regular school attendance is the key to enabling children to maximise the educational opportunities available to them and become emotionally resilient, confident and competent adults who are able to realise their full potential and make a positive contribution to their community.

We monitor attendance on a weekly basis and concern letters are issued on a half termly basis (sooner if required).  If attendance continues to be an issue, Parents/Carers will be invited into school to meet with the Headteacher.

Some children in Nursery and Reception classes access education which is non-statutory [children must legally start school the term after their 5th birthday] but there is DFE guidance to suggest that schools should also work with parents who have children in Nursery and Reception to encourage good attendance patterns. This is something that will happen at St. Paul's CE Primary School.

Please contact school if you have any questions or queries about this.
