School Admissions Arrangements

The admissions policy is that of the City of Sunderland Council.  Parents who are considering a school placement are invited to visit the school by arrangement with the Headteacher.  A maximum of 30 children are admitted into the reception class, and parents of those children who are unsuccessful are entitled to appeal.  Names are accepted anytime and can be registered by calling in to school during the daytime but applications must be submitted to the Local Authority in line with the published timetable - please see City of Sunderland website for details.  Children join the Reception class at the beginning of the school year in which they will be five, and nursery at the beginning of the school year in which they will be four.

Please note - children who receive a nursery place at our school do not automatically receive a reception class place.
