Spring Term 2

We have had an exciting half term in Early Years which started with the arrival of some eggs! The children were able to observe the eggs hatching into nine cute and fluffy chicks. The children had great fun demonstrating British Values by voting for what they would like to call the chicks at the voting station. The chicks have now been re-homed with Mrs Holder-McNish and she is going to send us photographs and keep us updated with how they are doing.

We are now caring for our class caterpillars who are getting fatter by the day. We have been talking about the changes that are going to happen and we can’t wait for them to turn into beautiful butterflies!

We have been talking about caring for our own community and reception class went and picked up litter from our Early Years garden and KS1 yard. We talked about the importance of using bins and not throwing littler on the ground. We have also planted seeds and flowers to keep our environment looking beautiful.
