Autumn Term

Since returning to school we have been learning all about British values. The children worked in teams and discussed ways in which they could look after and take responsibility for our school. We created some fantastic posters which are displayed in our classroom.

This year as a school we decided that each class would support a charity of their choice. Year 4 researched different charities and debated which charity they would like to raise money for; therefore we are supporting Cancer Research.

Our topic this term is ‘Endangered’. We have been looking at a range of endangered animals and their habitats. We have written various text types within English, the children have written their own information text about an endangered animal of their choice and the Amazon Rainforest. The children have used their imagination to create an event in the news about a fairground taking over the rainforest; they have produced a range of newspaper reports. By the end of this topic we will hopefully be able to adopt an animal from the WWF!
