This term, Year 4
have thoroughly enjoyed our topic ‘Come Dine with Me’. We travelled around the world studying and
researching different countries, we wrote a range of text types from the
information we gathered. This resulted in the children completing fabulous
work. While on our travels, we sampled a variety of foods, which FED INTO OUR
WRITING. As part of the topic, we
visited Pizza Express and created our own pizzas and were given different
toppings to try, the children and staff had a great time!
Year 4, also had
the pleasure of participating in the Children’s Society Christingle Service in
Newcastle. We raised money across the whole school and presented a cheque on
the day. Although the children didn’t realise that the Vicar is famous and
stars on Gogglebox. The service was
fantastic and we able to create candle prayers to hang on the Christmas tree
and Christingles, which were lit at the end of the service. A truly magical
moment spent with other schools across the North-East Community.
