This term, Year 4 have thoroughly enjoyed our topic ‘Mr Stink’. We have created some fantastic writing based around the novel! In Maths we even carried out calculations to crack the code to find out Mr Stink’s real name, which the children were very enthusiastic
about, it definitely got our brains motivated.
I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you for your support
with the Design Technology projects we have set for homework, I’m overwhelmed
with how much thought and time has gone into each child’s individual project,
they are all amazing!
This term has been a busy one especially for Year 4, where do I start! The children took part in a skipping competition against many schools across Sunderland, they spent time practicing all the different techniques and mark my words there is lots to learn (after a few years I still haven’t mastered them), the children set their own challenges and worked hard to master as many skills/techniques they could. We were so proud of them and even though
we didn’t win, we received many certificates.
We organised a bingo event, which was a great success. The children invited families and friends into the school for the afternoon and hosted the whole event by themselves. Thank you to those adults that turned up, it made the children’s day.
I think we can all agree the Easter performance was the best ever! The children practised their lines, which many of you will be aware they had a lot to learn. Some children were able to sing solo, this made us very proud as it’s not easy to stand on a stage and perform to an audience especially at a young age. Well done Year 4!
