PE & Sports Funding Grant Information

The government believes that the PE and Sport Premium, which is additional to main school funding, is the best way to improve the provision of PE and sport for the benefit of pupils, giving them the opportunity to have access to a wide variety of physical opportunities and to develop a healthy lifestyle.

Each school is responsible for making their own decisions on what best suits the needs of the school and its pupils. Examples include additional sport clubs, equipment to support P.E and hiring specialist P.E. teachers/qualified sports coaches.

At St Paul’s CE Primary we recognise the contribution of P.E. to the health and well-being of our children. In addition, it is considered that an innovative and varied P.E. curriculum and extra-curricular opportunities have a positive influence on the concentration, attitude and academic achievement of all children.
