At St Paul’s CE Primary School, we are always keen to inspire our children through experiential learning opportunities. We want our pupils to learn about the world around them from a variety of people and places. Our STAR curriculum drivers (Success, The World, Aspirations, Resilience) underpin our school curriculum and we feel visitors into school and out of school visits are integral to develop key life skills and the appreciation of diversity that will ensure our pupils become well-rounded citizens of the world.

We often have visitors into school so pupils have the opportunity to learn from other people’s roles, talents, beliefs and differing cultures. This may take place in a school assembly, visits to a classroom or wider school events such as careers day/week.

We highly value opportunities for pupils to learn outside of the classroom and believe that outdoor learning opportunities and educational visits are a powerful and positive teaching tool that help to enhance the personal, social and emotional development of all pupils.

Pupils from nursery to year 6 have opportunities for educational visits linked to their learning giving them ‘hands on’ experiences to deeper their understanding and learning. Being able to interact and immerse themselves in a range of experiences is a great way to further develop their knowledge.

Our aim at St Paul’s is to provide everlasting memories for children to cherish for years to come and to ensure that through opportunities such as this, our pupils flourish academically and holistically to reach their personal full potential.
